CASTING CALL OUT FOR PHYSICAL PERFORMER/PUPPETEER
Moth Physical Theatre are seeking a highly skilled physical performer and puppeteer for their new ACE funded show Jack, Jill and the Landfill. Jack, Jill and the Landfill is an interactive eco-fable encouraging everyone to tackle the climate change emergency. Suitable for ages 3-7yrs. The performer will be puppeteering Jack, a 7yr old British Pakistani boy. We would like to invite anyone who feels they identify with this role to apply.
We are looking for a performer who:
- Is a highly skilled/experienced puppeteer (particularly with Bunraku-style puppets).
- Is a trained physical performer/actor with movement skills.
- Is a confident and adept singer.
- Is experienced in children's theatre and can confidently deliver a character voice as well as narrate.
- Is happy to assist with a get in/get out of a show.
- Is up for a laugh!
Rehearsals, socially distanced performances and filming of the show will take place at ARC, Stockton-on-Tees and The Civic, Barnsley. The total fee of the project delivered to the artist is £1,482. In addition to this accommodation will be provided by the company, as well as travel between venues. Dates required: 18th - 22nd January, 8th - 12th February & 15th - 22nd February.
